Wild Wonders of Europe http://www.wild-wonders.com is the largest ever nature photography project, aiming to introduce the last wild places and wild creatures that are living in Europe, to Europeans.

It is about the natural heritage of a continent that is Unseen, Unexpected and Unforgettable.

65 European nature photographers were chosen to take the images that would be used to illustrate the natural heritage of Europe, in the products of the project: books, articles, exhibitions, calendars and multimedia shows. We were both lucky to be chosen for the team of Wild Wonders of Europe photographers.

Erlend’s first assignment was to take pictures of Chamois and Ibex in their rutting season in the Gran Paradiso National Park in Italy. One year later, in 2009, he was sent to the Bergslagen area in Sweden, to capture the lekking behaviour of black grouse and capercaillie.

In 2008, Orsolya was sent to Iceland, with a long list of landscapes and species to photograph that she decided to stay a much longer period than the original commission. This was both beneficial for the project and herself. These images became the basis of the material for Orsolya and Erlend’s book on Iceland, based on a period of 10 months photography there.
In 2009, her second WWE mission took her to the wonderful Stockholm Archipelago in Sweden. During this assignment she focussed on photographing landscapes in this truly magic coastal area.
