I am happy to let you know that two of my images were awarded at the Veolia Environnement (BBC) Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. One became the Runner-up of the category “Animals in their environment”. It shows a flock of red knots feeding on coastal rocks in Iceland.
The other one received a Highly Commended Award in the “Wild places” category. This image was also taken in Iceland, just 5 kilometres from Eyjafjallajökull on 16 April 2010 – these magic lights took my focus from the erupting volcano for some minutes…

Since 2005, we have travelled together as a team, constantly being on the move to capture those memorable experiences in nature, with our cameras in our hands. Our projects capture different parts of the "Cap of the North", in a never-ending search for eye-catching scenes, and the magic light that is so characteristic of this region. It is the desire to get back to our roots – to live with nature that inspires us to create the images that we do.
